The Ultimate Horror Movie Fan Poll
07.17.09 By: Erik Davis

In anticipation of this year's San Diego Comic Con, Horror Squad and SciFi Squad have launched the ultimate fan polls, asking you readers to vote not only for the best films of all time in their respective genre, but also on favorite characters, future scream queens, films from the past year and so on. We're going to ask you to make some tough choices here, but that's the point -- how else are we to determine the best of the best? So check out our Ultimate Horror Movie Fan Poll below and vote away! When you're done, head on over to SciFi Squad and do the same. We'll announce the winners just in time for this year's Comic Con.

I always thought that Hellraiser should get a reboot.

I voted for A Nightmare on Elm Street! I have never been a morning person. That does not work out too well when you have to get 3 kids ready for school in the morning. I have been a regular user of multi-vitamin packs and energy drinks for some time now. I really hated the "burn out" from the drinks and taking the vitamins alone really did not do much for me. I started taking Resveratrol Pills http://cli.gs/EternalRezv and I now love getting up in the morning and have the extra energy to exercise while the kids are in school. So I am a "skinnier" morning person too. I am so glad I found this ultimate supplement: http://cli.gs/EternalRezv

I so agree, I'm surprised it wasn't on any of the lists, but if they redo them pinhead has to be the same dude.

Agreed..they need to nix the Elm Street redux though..no Robert Englund = no Freddy..

I'm sorry but I will only watch Miley Cyrus, Taylor Swift, and Britney Spears (who are singers first then actors and bad ones at that) is if they're dying horrible and hilarious deaths.

That's all, huh? And those were the slashers that you came up with? Give me the guy on the Midnight Meat Train over any of these guys any day ... any that's just off the top of my head because I've seen it recently. Chucky???!

I voted for HALLOWEEN for best franchise, but only because PHANTASM and Romero's LIVING DEAD flicks weren't listed. I mean really... Saw? Scream? Come on.

I had a life size blow up doll of Freddy Krueger I used to put up in my front yard every year for Halloween. A lot of the kids would not even come up my drive way.

I voted for Friday the 13th....I have been a fan of those movies ever since I was old enough to start watching horror flicks. Kane Hodder kicks ass in the friday movies!

A reboot of Poltergeist would be VERY cool if done right. I'd love to see how they update it to fit into todays technology world. No ones TV goes off anymore so how would you explain the static? With all the special effects you could make some really freaky ghosts.

Nightmare on Elm Street?? Freddy Kruger??? Talk about one of the corniest horror movies out there. FAR from scary. Come on, people. They shouldn't even be on the list and I agree that Phantasm SHOULD have been on there.

Though it's not quit old as others on the list, I think they missed " Jeepers Creepers",
