Agnieszka Wotowicz-Vosloo's latest horror-thriller, After.Life, has drawn Liam Neeson, Christina Ricci and Justin Long to its cast for a story about, well, the after life. Anchor Bay snagged the title last month and just announced that the film will receive a limited theatrical release on April 9.

After Anna (Ricci) endures a horrific car accident, she wakes up on a mortician's (Neeson) table unsure if she's actually dead or alive. He tries to convince her she is in transition for the after life and he is the only one who can help her cross over. Anna's boyfriend Paul (Long) is not convinced of Anna's finality and tries to save her before she is quite possibly buried alive.

No word yet on a DVD release date, but in the meantime check out the exclusive stills from After.Life that we premiered back in August to wet your palette. Seeing this title pop up during Shutter Island's opening weekend and the ruckus surrounding Berlins' screening of The Killer Inside Me has me wondering how many of you are instantly suspicious when bigger talent is cast in a horror film? Are blockbuster names an immediate repellent for you? Discuss.

For once I'm actually excited about a CGI heavy movie and it has tons of beasties to boot. Louis Leterrier's (Transporter 2) remake of the 1981 film Clash of the Titans is looking pretty amazing so far and Bloody Disgusting just posted this second trailer for the film. Leading a daring band of warriors, Perseus sets off on a perilous journey deep into forbidden worlds. Battling unholy demons and fearsome beasts, he will only survive if he can accept his power as a god, defy his fate and create his own destiny.

If I told you the next Dark Castle horror-thriller flick would star January Jones and Diane Kruger, you'd probably be interested. If I told you that the most recent Dark Castle horror flicks were Whiteout, Orphan, and Return to House on Haunted Hill ... you'd probably be a little less interested. But with the presence of two stunning blondes (and a half-decent concept), Dark Castle's Unknown White Male is starting to sound a little intriguing.

According to Variety, Ms. Jones and Ms. Kruger will join the very busy (and very lucky) Liam Neeson in Unknown White Male, which "centers on a man who awakens from a coma to find that someone else has assumed his identity, and no one, including his wife, believes him." The director is Jaume Collet-Serra, whom the horror freaks may remember from (Dark Castle) flicks like Orphan and House of Wax. The stunning Diane Kruger is best-known for her work in Troy, Inglourious Basterds, and both National Treasure movies, while January Jones (even the name is sexy!) has been seen in We Are Marshall, American Wedding, and the upcoming Pirate Radio. She's also a big hit on that Mad Men series.

Variety doesn't make mention one way or another, but I do believe this film is a feature (loosely) based on this documentary of the same name. And that's a damn good documentary.

Horror Squad just got our hands on a swath of exclusive images from the upcoming film After.Life, starring Liam Neeson, Christina Ricci, and Justin Long. The film, written by Paul and Agnieszka Wojtowicz Vosloo, tells the story of a woman (Ricci) drifting between her corporeal life and the after life while under the care of a funeral director (Neeson) who may or may not be intentionally trying to bury the poor woman alive.

Those details may seem vague at this point and you may never have heard of the writer/director Vosloo team, but considering the acting talent attracted to the material, I'm willing to plant After.Life firmly on my radar. If anything, the gallery bellow should help whet your appetite until more information bubbles to the surface. After. Life is currently in post-production and is due out in 2010.
